Chewy and the Dodge Truck

Sunrise, Combining, and Bear Scat
Sunrise is now just after 7 AM. The days continue to be warm. Harley said he saw new bear scat under the crab apple tree. A great deal of combining is being done.
Chewy's Favourite Truck
When Chewy was a pup, we only had one truck, a Dodge 3/4 ton. He's used to that vehicle. He's never been in our Ford 1 ton. He thinks the Dodge is his truck. On Saturday Harley was combining just across the road from our house. He decided to walk over to get a pair of gloves that he left in the Dodge. Coming out of our house with the Dodge keys, Chewy sniffed the keys and ran straight to the Dodge. Harley retrieved his gloves and closed the door. Chewy started whimpering!
A Neighbourhood Crop Tour
Harley wasn't combining on Sunday, so he decided so tour the neighbourhood in the Dodge with Chewy. I went over to Cindy's place for coffee & a visit. Half way through Harley's crop tour, he dropped Chewy off at Cindy's place so he could play with her dogs, then he continued on his crop tour. Later he came back and sat out on the porch with us. We drank coffee and had a chat fest.
Curing Onions in Banana Boxes
I picked up a few groceries in town, but more importantly I picked up some empty banana boxes from the Co op Store. We'll gather the onions, store them in those boxes. We'll leave the onions outside the workshop in the sun to cure. On a night that it freezes, we'll easily take the boxes inside. Same applies for rainy conditions.
French Bread and Red Wine
Harley & I enjoyed French bread, olive oil & balsamic vinegar for supper. Red wine, music. Lovely.
