Woke up refreshed. Enjoyed coffee chat with Harley. After discussions about family, friends, we talked about Data Centres. One is being built about 100 km from us by Meta. We get our power from a Rural Electrification Association. They buy our power for our group. The Association is going to have to be very wise how they bid on power because they have to compete with the data centres.

Watching the Parade with Dad

I watched the Vegreville Parade with my dad. Harley & I used to be on the Fair Board. Anyway our fair is over 100 years old. At Heritage House, the retirement community where my dad lives, a youngish gal is the Recreational Aide. She is also a director on the Fair Board. They had the same parade route for over 100 years. Heritage House used to hire a bus to take the seniors to the parade. Because of this young lady, they changed the parade route, the parade goes past 2 retirement communities now! We are a town of 6000. Most of the businesses close for 2 hrs so their employees can watch the parade. The town and country community show up to watch the parade.
