Fair Clean-Up and a Milestone Manuscript

Round 2: Maintain, Do Not Gain

I should be clear about my weight loss. I lost 7 lbs earlier in the year. This is Round 2 of weight loss. During these last few weeks of a wedding, eating and imbibing at the fair, I've remained true to my mantra: Maintain, do not gain. I did lose a little, 2.5 lbs down.

Cleaning Up the Fairgrounds

Clean-up after the fair. When we arrived at the fairgrounds, the Carnival workers were dismantling the rides. We picked up my 40 entries, then cleaned up fallen petals and spilled water.

Submitting My Manuscript

It was a day of celebration for me, I submitted my revised manuscript to Friesen that morning. And I was proud of my winnings at the fair. We knew all of the people who were making their way into and out of the Exhibit Hall. I had not eaten breakfast that day. We ate a hearty meal at a local restaurant. It was the only meal I ate that day. No evening cocktails either.

Washing Vases and Winding Down

I washed 3 loads of vases in the dishwasher. Happy Hour with Chewy was Diet Coke, No Caffeine.
