Garden Work and a New Short Story Idea

A Windy Walk and Garden Harvest

Maintained weight. The wind blew this morning. Chewy and I went for a one mile breezy walk, me with a weighted vest. Then I pulled an onion from the garden and cleaned it up outside. I always compost the crotch of the green onion. Bacteria and dirt can be trapped there. I use the bulb, straight, light green stem and the dark green stems. I decided to thin out some young carrots from the garden and store them in the fridge for future use. I have an outdoor work station for that. Garden produce has dirt; I like to keep the dirt outside. If I notice some residual dirt in a bowl, I wipe it out with a paper towel. I don't want the dirt in the sink trap; it will lodge there.

Potatoes Are Blooming

I noticed that the Russet and red potatoes are blooming. That means there will be tiny potatoes underneath.

A Printing Decision and a New Short Story Idea

A decision has been made regarding the colour printing of my book. We are all moving forward. I had a great deal of texting back and forth about my cookbook with Mark. I'm planning on writing a book of short stories for young people. My relationship with Mark from Ingram Publishing has inspired me to write a new short story: The Man Who Wouldn't Stop Being Nice. I'm going to get back to writing once a day

Bracing for the Storm

When Harley and I were having Happy Hour outside with Chewy, I told him that the forecast was for winds up to 90 km/hr., thunderstorms and possible hail for tonight. We moved the glass covered table to right up against the house so it wouldn't get flipped over in the wind.
