Two Eggs a Day

Maintained my weight. Ate about 1400 calories today. I eat 2 eggs a day ( any style). I've read that Martha Stewart keeps her own hens and eats two eggs a day. Today I had an egg salad sandwich. My BFF, Cindy, gives me free eggs. I insist that she give me only small eggs, as she can then market her Grade A and A+ eggs to the public. The hens that lay the small cream coloured eggs are called Icelandic chickens.

Visiting Cindy on Her Vacation

Cindy is on vacation this week, I visit her every day. We always have refreshments! She makes me a gin with a squeezed lime with water and no ice (neat). I find this to be a calorie & carbohydrate efficient drink.

Flooded Canola and a Call to Crop Insurance

When I got home, Harley drove me around the crop land. One piece of our land got so much rain, some parts of the land became completely saturated and the canola roots suffocated. So, dead areas in parts of the field. We have a draw at the edge of that one field. Two culverts drain into it. The water was flowing swiftly through it; there were a lot of bubbles. I took a photo. The water usually only flows with the spring thaw. We heard that this piece of land got an extra downpour. Harley's brother has phoned crop insurance. He's hoping they'll write it off.

A Late-Night Lightning Storm

There was a lightning storm at 1 AM. It dropped a small amount of rain, no hail. Some farmers with drowned out crops are hoping for hail. They get an immediate payout upon inspection.
