Watching the Storm Roll In

Maintaining Weight. The storm moved in just after midnight. The best place to watch at prairie storm is from our front room. Harley watched from our kitchen, noting the pelting raindrops on our concrete patio. He was wanting to see if it was hailing. Hail never materialized, so he went back to bed. I stayed up and watched the whole storm. The storm was moving west to east. Our front room window looks out to the east. The sheet lightening was spectacular! At first, when the lightening lit up our front yard, I could see the green leaves of our 50 ft poplar trees. Then as the storm moved into the east, our trees were in silhouette. Lovely, dramatic. Midway through the storm, the rain became heavy. In the morning, I checked the rain gauge: 6/10 ths.

Bills in Town and Supper at Home

I spent the afternoon in town, paying bills, etc... I made us a wonderful supper: roasted potatoes with onions and carrots, plus farmer's sausage!
